Privacy Policy for LOC FINDER
This Privacy Policy explains how Uziraze, operated by Muhammad Uzair (“Uziraze,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the LOC FINDER Android application (the “App”), package name com.umair.converterpro.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, we request consent before carrying out the relevant processing.
1. Information the App Processes
1.1 Precise and approximate device location
When you choose a feature such as the live location dashboard, the App may request access to your device’s precise or approximate location through Android location permissions. This information is used to display your current coordinates and convert them into supported geographic formats.
- Location access occurs only while you use a location-based feature and grant permission.
- The App does not intentionally track your location in the background.
- Precise GPS coordinates are processed on your device and are not stored on Uziraze servers.
- We do not intentionally pass precise GPS coordinates to Google AdMob for advertising.
- You may deny or revoke location permission through Android Settings. Manual coordinate conversion remains available where supported.
1.2 Coordinates and other information you enter
Coordinates, Plus Codes, map URLs, and other values you enter for conversion are processed locally on your device. We do not receive or maintain a server-side history of those entries. Your device may retain temporary interface state or preferences until you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.
1.3 Information processed through advertising services
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google AdMob to request and display advertisements. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google’s configuration, Google and participating advertising partners may automatically collect or receive:
- Your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, which may be used to estimate general location.
- App and advertising interactions, including app launches, taps, ad impressions, clicks, and video views.
- Diagnostic and performance information, such as launch time, hang rate, crashes or errors, and energy usage.
- Device or account identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID, App Set ID, and other applicable identifiers.
- Information about the device, operating system, app version, language, and network connection.
- Your consent and privacy-choice signals.
The Android Advertising ID is user-resettable and user-deletable. Where available, you can manage it in your Android privacy or ads settings. If the identifier has been deleted or collection is restricted, Google may use limited or alternative signals for permitted purposes.
1.4 Communications with us
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, device or app details, and any attachments. We use this information to respond, provide support, investigate problems, and protect the App.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the App’s location display and coordinate-conversion functions.
- Remember local settings and privacy choices.
- Display contextual, non-personalized, personalized, or limited advertisements, depending on eligibility and consent.
- Measure advertising performance and prevent invalid traffic, fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Diagnose technical problems, maintain reliability, and improve the App.
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the laws of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or similar jurisdictions apply, processing may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: for personalized advertising, device storage/access, precise location, or other processing where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: to provide and secure the App, prevent fraud, diagnose faults, and operate non-intrusive business functions, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Performance of a service: to provide features you request, such as converting and displaying coordinates.
- Legal obligations: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
4. Advertising, Consent, and Privacy Choices
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) to request and store privacy choices where required. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other applicable regions may be shown a consent message before eligible advertising data is used.
Depending on your choice and regional requirements, the App may request personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or limited ads. Non-personalized and limited ads can still use contextual information and process data for delivery, frequency capping, aggregated measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
Where required, the App provides a Privacy choices entry in its settings or menu so you can review or change available choices. You can also manage ad personalization through your Android or Google account settings.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, disclosures involving personalized advertising may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain U.S. state laws. Eligible users may opt out through the App’s Privacy choices control or other controls made available by Google.
5. Information Sharing
- Google and advertising partners: The Google Mobile Ads SDK, AdMob, UMP, and advertising technology providers selected in the consent message may process information to deliver, measure, personalize, limit, and secure advertisements.
- User-directed map and sharing services: When you choose to open a generated map link in Google Maps, a browser, messaging app, or another service, that service receives the information contained in the link under its own privacy terms.
- Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforceable government requests, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or prevent fraud and security incidents.
- Business changes: If the App or business is reorganized, transferred, merged, or sold, relevant information may be transferred subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from apps and sites that use its services
- Google AdMob and data use information
- Google My Ad Center and ad controls
- Google Terms of Service
The list of advertising technology providers presented through the consent message may change as Google and our advertising configuration change.
7. Permissions Used by the App
| Permission or capability | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Precise or approximate location | Display the current device location and convert coordinates when you request this feature. |
| Internet and network state | Request and display advertisements, retrieve consent configuration, and open online map links. |
| Advertising ID | Advertising, measurement, analytics, frequency control, and fraud prevention through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, subject to device settings and consent. |
8. Data Retention
- We do not maintain user accounts or a server-side history of coordinates or precise location.
- Local settings and consent-related information may remain on your device until you clear App data or uninstall the App.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
- Google and advertising partners retain information according to their own policies, legal obligations, and configured retention periods.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using transport-layer security. No method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, they and we rely on recognized legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers. Their privacy policies provide additional information about their processing locations and safeguards.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising uses; and complain to a data-protection authority. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
Because the App does not maintain an account or server-side location history, we may not possess information that can be linked to you. Advertising providers may control information collected through their services, and requests concerning that information may need to be directed to the relevant provider.
To submit a request to Uziraze, email uzairshabbirsab@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
12. Children’s Privacy
LOC FINDER is a general-audience utility and is not designed or marketed specifically to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the App and device advertising and location settings.
13. External Links and User-Directed Sharing
The App may generate Google Maps links or allow you to share coordinates through third-party apps. When you select an external link or sharing destination, the receiving service’s privacy policy and terms apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, advertising services, legal requirements, or our practices. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
